The atmosphere and the building is cool, and had some great music. Unfortunately wasn’t a big fan of the prime rib. My friend and I both ordered prime rib, myself rare and he got medium rare. They came out identical, so if they are not going to be cooked separately I would have rather been told how the entire cut had been prepared. Have heard good things from many people but on that particular night we did not feel it lived up to the hype.

I visited Haines Steak House this evening while visiting Baker City. We were welcome with no wait and the service was fantastic. The meals were so delicious. Our steaks were juicy and full of flavor, and you get so many sides. Our meal came with salad bar, chili, baked beans, corn bread, and your choice of potato. The atmosphere made me feel like I was in a small town movie, I love the honey decor. The salad bar that was in the wagon was the hilight of the interior. I would dine here again any day. Every bite of our meal was fantastic!

Buffet for dinner was a little lacking due to so many patrons. However steak off the menu was fantastic. Also the seasonal trimmings and decorations were extremely festive as were the staff. Very enjoyable (early) evening with friends and family.

Best Place to Eat in Eastern Oregon if you love quality smoked beef and a country Western Experience with great food service and Atmosphere eat here. Try the Prime Rib, smoked BBQ ribs, and Salad Bar they are amazing.

I really enjoyed several things about our experience. Being a meat processor their meat was very tender and very tasty. They're baked potatoes Had outrageous sides to go with it. And I must remark on their great salad bar Their baked beans and Cornbread was delicious as they were 20 years ago when I lived in the area. Service was spectacular.

In years past I would have given five stars. Service was very good and all the staff was friendly. Salad bar was good... excellent chili. My brisket was smokey, juicy and tender and everyone who had the tenderloin said they were good. But my brother who had the ribeye and my buddy who had the lamb chops were both disappointed. Thus, the four stars. Still a good place and worth the stop.

Was looking forward to coming to this establishment for months! We made a reservation before hand, and arrived 6:30. We were told before hand that there would be a while wait. We totally understood. However, we did not get our food till 8pm. It was busy and we understood. However, when we received our food it was cold, and not cook to temp. Even the shrimp. While eating my potato, I found hairs. When we told them management she was extremely unapologetic. She said why didn’t you send it back, AFTER TWO HOURS OF WAITING, and they were closed. Then she proceeded to say, “What do you want me to do about it”? I get it nights like that are hard as someone who has served, but MAKE IT RIGHT. Do not have attitude, we wanted to have a nice dinner with our hard earned money and support a local business. Would not recommend after our experience with management. Wait staff was great!
